PostSubject: my worst experience   Sat Sep 27, 2008 8:22 am

few years back when the thumpers 1st come out to play. i bought a brand new yzf426 02 model at the time.i let some tit have a go who lived by me.he tried racing a friend on a rmx50 for some stupid reason, lost control of the bike and smashed a tree HARD! the guy wrapped his leg around the tree quite bad. he totaled my bike.
i didnt have a job at the time so i worked with my friend to make sum money to rebuild it.
cost me quite a bit at the time needed fr forks new subframe ,wheel bars tank etc.
after finally gettin it bk a1 condition few weeks and hundreds of pounds l8r. i went up a local track by me (slightly ilegal) on the way to the track there was always this big jump we would all hit, on approach to this jump i seen 2 nice girls walking by there (time to show off lol) i pinned it hit the jump flat out not nowing that on the exit (top) of the jump there was a kurb stone stiking out of the ground coverd in weeds. my front wheel smashed it, i ended up flying through the air past these gurls back wheel at 12clock postion and front wheel at 6, i was on the limiter tryin to get the back wheel down.no go, so i bailed ended up tumbling forward out the sky landed straight on my helmet/shoulder.naffd my brand new helmet broke my collar bone, arm and hurt my neck.a guy walked past walking his dog asked if i was ok. i mumbled no led on the floor and he jus walked off.
luckily 2 blokes sat in the garden of the pub seen me crash and called an ambulance. they took me to hospital and the guys kept my bike in the pubs garage for me. few days later i got my friend who i trusted to go get the bike for me from the pub. he ended up riding the bike on the roads bk from there. coming up the road on the bike coppers drive past him the other way.he pins the bike, on the back wheel from them, few streets later he dusts them, still pining it not nowing that the police wer no longer behind him, he came around a bend way to fast went up on the pavment and smahed in to sum 1's front gate post landing on the fence opposite breaking both his arms and his leg. the bike was smahed up 3 times and a couple of bones wer broken in the space of a couple weeks. my ma made me sell the bike she said it was a death trap. i ended up selling a 10 month old yzf426 for 1,500. loads of money wasted, ended up with a moped wich got stolen well guted!

moral of the story. dun let any1 ride ure bike!

and i got another 426 02 lol

poor bike.
so there was a track with a pub next to it with curbs (maybe pavements) and girls walking past...were you riding jumps on the side of the road for something? lol as for your mate crashing into someones gate i have no sympathy for him at all.
1. Shouldnt be riding on the streets.
2. What if he hit a pedestrian , i know i wouldnt be happy by someone nailing straight into a relative or even a non relative.
3.This is what gives motocross a bad name. simple as that!
Just find a proper track to ride like green valley ect where there are no curbs ect lol and you will be fine..

anyway my worst moment is flipping my bike on the start gate cheers not a good thing to do Mad

this story was more of a my worst experience of owning a mx bike

the track was on an old golf course behind a comp school.
the road wasnt that far from were we were riding.

i did mention it was slightly illegal. ure rite! it does give the old mx a bad name.

but when u r younger and u dun have a driving license and u cant transport ure bike to legal tracks thats jus what happens mate.

i see loads of kids riding there mx bikes down the roads these days and i think the same as u, it is giving us a bad name.

but it should also make people think bout puting somewhere legal in newport. like cmx in cardiff. maybe this will reduce the number of young people riding the streets. not every1 can transport there bikes about!

ps. the story was from 2001. i aint still riding the roads lol Rolling Eyes. as i am older and have a driving license i do tend to ride places like gv cmx aberbeeg tormarton and apex.
