| As you are probably aware there has been a few articles lately printed in the south wales argus and the campaign with reguards to walkers / ramblers complaining about offroad bikes using the common land. We are in the process of setting up a meeting within the next 7-14 days with the head of the council and try and make them see sense why we need this track to be open every weekend, other wise the so called walkers and ramblers are going to complain even more and to be honest we could do with out it, there are only a few riders who dont listen to us, but please bear in mind the reason why we ask you to stay off the common is not for our benefit but for yours bcos at the end of the day if you get caught then you loose your bike.I have a good relationship with a certain pc and he is the one that enforces the law on common land and i can guarantee you that if any of our members are caught on common land you will be banned for life from the track, after all we are only trying to supply a service to you the riders to ride in a safe and controlled enviroment, if you have an accident on common land it could be hours before anyone will no where you are and what condition you are in, and by then it could be to late !!!!! and i wouldnt want to wish that on anyone.I would like to say that all the marshalls at green Valley are UNPAID and volunteer there services free of charge, the only benefit we have is that we can ride for free, thats it.If you have an accident at the track then we can provide immediate first aid when neccassary should the need arise, then hand you over to the pro's for further treatment.I would like to think that myself and the other marshalls are providing a bloody good facility for you the rider/s and lets hope it stays that way for a long time, we no we dont have the facilities like GP events Hawkstone etc but we are trying very hard.Thankyou for your time & co-operationreguardsMotoxalios AKA Martin |

| hopefully the council will finally see sense, the worst thing they can do is keep the track how it is now as i just forces people to ride elsewhere. if they used their heads the best for all is to open the track as much as possible and advertise the fact its open with directions or contact numbers in the local rags. this will keep all parties happy riders, ramblers, council and police you never know the cops may even ride the track themselves because they wont be chasing little toe rags around the common. anyway enough rambling (ha ha) all the best with the meeting see you next time. |
